Oral-B 7000 SmartSeries Truth Unmasked: is it worth the buy?
You might be wondering what is so special about a toothbrush? Why does it cost $200? Is it worth the buy?
The average dental cleaning routine costs about $175--that's approximately $1,050 annually. Many insurance companies believe that dental care is an unnecessary service. Usually, insurers don't cover dental care.
The question that needs to be answered: can this electric toothbrush be as effective as a dental hygienist?
Here is my own personal experience and you be the judge...
When I first opened the box, I noticed the precision, accuracy, care, and quality of making this toothbrush. It was packed in the most luxurious and caring way. The box contained: the toothbrush, a hard travel case, a travel case pouch, 3 brush heads (Oral-B CrossAction, ProWhite, and Sensitive Gum Care brush head), SmartGuide professional timer, SmartGuide wall mount and adhesive ring, 2 AAA batteries for the SmartGuide, and charging unit (basic charger and brush head compartment with protective cover. The box also had a $10 coupon for next purchase and the product manual (very specific).
The Oral-B 7000 manual is very specific and contains step by step instructions along with pictures for better demonstration. It evens shows the best way to brush your teeth. (Refer to the attached photo). The charging time for this product took about 24 hours but stayed charged for month.
Some information on the product: 1) Made in Germany 2) TWO-year warranty for US and Canada 3) 60-day money back satisfaction guarantee.
TESTING THE PRODUCT: To get the most fast result, I have made my own experiment. I have not brushed my teeth for 3 days; my teeth had lots of plaques and was becoming yellow. I used the CrossAction Brush Head, and started brushing with a sodium fluoride toothpaste. After 8 minutes, my teeth became white and had NO plaques, I was very surprised. My teeth felt as they were cleaned by the dental hygienist!! Then I flossed, and not a single particle of food came out with the floss, which means that the toothbrush had taken care of the parts between the gums too. Oral-B 7000 indicates whether too much pressure is on teeth and cautions you.
The rotation of the toothbrush head is very fast, it took me couple of minutes to adapt to it. One advice is to make sure that you don't turn on the toothbrush with the toothpaste before placing it in front of your teeth. Or else the toothbrush will go everywhere. I had trouble with the SmartGuide timer is my least favorite thing about this product--I currently just use it as a watch. However I am using the Oral-B APP which had a timer and a summary of the brushing performance with an evaluation. While brushing, the app provided advice, news, weather, my pictures and videos and many other contents that can be either turned on or off.
Some final thoughts:
I am VERY VERY VERY satisfied with Oral-B 7000 performance and quality. It cleans not only the teeth but also the gums and even whitens the teeth. Oral-B 7000 had removed all plaques. I love it. The price of this product would save you lots of money from the dental office, it would decrease your cavities and removes your plaques and clean your teeth everyday for a better smile.
This product is not just a toothbrush BUT it is a dental hygienist. Instead of going to the dental office for cleaning your teeth and spending time, money and gasoline, Oral-B SmartSeries has the solution... Clean your teeth anytime, anywhere, with NO Appointments or waiting room!!!
